Safety

Safety policy

Our primary objective regarding safety policy is to avoid any potential risk of fatalities, incidents or other health hazards. In order to reach a satisfactory safety level, our activities focus on continuous analysis of potential hazards that might negatively affect overall safety.

We work to protect not just our own employees but we also care about the safety of our customers. We steadfastly follow safety and health improvement programs and implement preventive procedures. The standards which our carriers must meet guarantee safe carriage of our products. Our customers receive comprehensive information about safe handling of all the products.

We are committed to excellence in production management, storage and transportation of technical gases. All the procedures implemented and followed by the company are aimed primarily at assuring best possible safety level.

Systems using compressed gases (vessels, fixtures, automatic controls), their carriage, manufacture, storage and other aspects related to broadly defined product safety are compliant with a number of legal acts, such as EU Directive (European Parliament Directive) on the approximation of the laws of the member states concerning pressure equipment, the so-called pressure or PED Directive), national acts (the act on technical inspection, a regulation of the Minister of Economy regarding occupational safety and health in production and storage of gases, the filling of vessels with gases and the use and storage of carbide).

Safety of manufacturing processes

All the manufacturing processes at our company follow and are compliant with the standards implemented by the Polish Committee for Standardization. Working with special high purity gases calls for other than standard technical solutions of both industrial installations and other vessels and steel cylinders.

Safety procedures observed at STP & DIN CHEMICALS are developed and implemented by highly qualified personnel who continually attend training courses. The high level of theoretical and practical knowledge and experience makes it possible to achieve the planned targets while maintaining maximum precautions and safety.

A key aspect regarding safe production of technical gases which is currently being implemented in our company involves the application of such technological processes that assure optimum safety not only of the production personnel and end-product users but also of the environment.

Transport safety

We follow the ADR regulations regarding transportation of compresses gases and cryogenic liquids (European Agreement on the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road). Potential risks related to carriage of gases can be substantially mitigated by following appropriate procedures, finding out gas properties and using suitable packaging.
